Superbills & Out-of-Network Reimbursement

IMPORTANT

Verify Your Insurance Coverage

Before scheduling your appointment, contact your insurance company to confirm whether naturopathic medical care with a licensed naturopathic physician is covered under your specific plan.

Questions to ask your insurance company include:

  • Are visits with a naturopathic physician covered under my plan?

  • Is the provider considered in-network or out-of-network?

  • Do I have a deductible, copay, or coinsurance?

  • Are laboratory tests or diagnostic services covered?

  • Is a referral or prior authorization required?

Coverage and reimbursement depend on your individual policy. Confirming your benefits directly with your insurance company is the best way to understand your expected costs.

Anticipated testing costs will be discussed before tests are ordered. You may decline any recommended testing.

Good Faith Estimates

Under federal law, patients who do not have insurance or who choose not to use insurance generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of scheduled medical care.

You may request an estimate before scheduling or during the scheduling process.

If you receive a bill from a provider or facility that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill.
